The NEC SX-ACE is a vector computer in the tradition of the SX series. Compared to SX-9, the nodes are small (only 4 cores and 64GB RAM) and compact (64 nodes in one rack). HLRS installation consists of one rack with 64 nodes and a NEC ScaTeFS filesystem of 250TB.
