The User Information Meeting is an online event that informs academic users of the HLRS systems about current computer usage topics. The event is held twice a year.

The following topics were covered on July 3rd, 2024:

  • Installation and migration to the next gen HPC system (Hawk ==> Hunter)
  • Next gen system is APU / GPU - based!
  • GPU - utilization is mandatory! and HLRS is going to enforce such usage by means of respective monitoring.
  • Overview of Hunter
  • Workshops and training for code - porting
