HORNET
Installation phase 1 step 2a
Warning: The next generation of Cray supercomputer Cray XC40 (Hornet) has been installed and will commence production on Saturday, November 15th 2014.
The Cray XE6 (Hermit) will stay available until December 2014, that means we expect users to migrate to the new system as soon as possible. The currently used disk subsystems will stay available on the new system, which means that no data transfer is necessary.
With the new system, users need to recompile their applications using the Cray XC40 environment. All academic projects will be available onto the new system.
